Specialist Logistics

Our milk haulage sector offers the complete solution from farm to processing, 24/7, 365 days per year.  Currently collecting and delivering in excess of 3,000,000 litres per day.  Operating from three main sites at Caton, Endon and Chester our modern fleet of farm collection and secondary vehicles delivers the efficient competitive service this sector demands.

General Haulage

We offer a range of specialist general haulage services through a fleet of vehicles of various size and type.  Experienced in facility and supply chain management we are able to offer customers a full range of services from production line to end user.  Our national coverage is supported by membership of a network of sixty family owned haulage businesses strategically placed throughout the UK, some of whom offer international coverage.

Pallet Force

Our Pallet Force operation covers all the LA post codes and enables us to offer our customers a full range of pallet collection and delivery nationwide.  To ensure customer distribution costs are minimised we operate a variable tariff to cover all consignment delivery and size profiles.

Warehousing

We operate 100,000 sq.ft. of third party warehousing enabling us to offer customers a full range of transport, warehousing and supply chain management services.  To ensure our customers various storage requirements are met we offer either bulk or racked space together with various mechanical handling facilities.

HGV Servicing

At S. J. Bargh Ltd we carry out all our own repairs on our fleet of predominantly Scania vehicles.  We have a Scania service and repair franchise with trained Scania technicians and offer 24 hour Scania Assistance. We not only maintain our own fleet but also offer vehicle servicing to other hauliers.  Our workshop has relocated to Lancaster and we will be able to offer other services such as brake roller testing.
