As a community partner and a responsible business, we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment. From operating the ‘greenest’ Euro 6 vehicles with a continuous fleet upgrade plan, to challenging the methodology of the operation every day to gain efficiencies, we target reducing our carbon emissions.

Further examples include:

· Investing into diesel compound engines for improved MPG along with lightweight tractor units to increase our tank capacity to reduce road miles

· Working with our customers to consistently challenge the frequency and scheduling of collections and deliveries to maximise load fill

· Recently launched Wagon and Drag combination which allows us to reduce our road miles on smaller collection sites where articulated lorries cannot gain access

· Increased the usage of our Double Deck trailers on our pallet network and general haulage to reduce road miles and increase volume fill

The future is evolving and changing constantly, we have already installed electric charging points which are available to employees along with access availability to the general public. Operationally we operate electric pallet trucks and we are trialling electric vehicles. We have a strong focus on recycling and we are continually upgrading our business with the latest technology aids.
